ABOUT DAVID

I am an artist from Stockholm, Sweden, the city I grew up and and spent most of my time. So far I've enjoyed working in a chaos of creative projects, beginning in 1997 with the forming of my first band, and I discovered my interest for graphic design making T-Shirts and album covers. 

In 2005, together with three close friends, I started a design business called Fuldesign - "ugly design" in Swedish - with the ambition to challenge and question the norms and the boringness of contemporary design of all fields, a quest I am happy to say proved both meaningful and inspiring to others, Swedish design is no longer as boring as it was a few years ago.

The basement pastime that was once Fuldesign took us on adventures to galleries, museums, retailers, marketplaces, festivals, parties and homes around the world and we are most fortunate to get to experience and manage this mad little puppy of ours called Fuldesign. 

 The quest goes on of course, as there is still much to be done regarding the cute, pretty, off-white realities of homes out there. Check out www.fuldesign.se 

Fuldesign has got me working in many different fields and techniques, and one that stuck with me is photography, my most recent passion. This site is created in the purpose of showcasing this passion alongside my music, as I have an ongoing project of becoming a truly great producer. My experiments with all of this is what you find here on this site. Please contact me if you like it, hate it, want to teach me something, and also of course if you're interested in hiring me. Thoughts on photography:

Technological advancements of all fields has led to a updated view on knowledge. Information and answers are everywhere, and because of that having knowledge is no longer the ability to store information and picking it out when needed, but rather the power of asking the right questions. 

We now live in a world of certainty, and I consider certainty one of humanity's greatest sins. Do not believe the truth. Believe in the power of questioning, the power of choosing a critical standpoint. 

I have therefore found myself drawn to the very uncertain practice of film photography, a technique in which many things are out of your control and so much can go wrong - It does not allow you to know, only to think. And one must remember, a photograph is never reality, only a photographers viewpoint at a given moment.

Do not believe the truth. Believe in the power of questioning...

As a photographer I strive to document the infinite sadness and beauty of human existence, its simplicity and vulnerability. And its boobs.
